NY Post: Huma Abedin Has 10-Year Tie to Radical Muslim Mag

Huma Abedin, a top aide for Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s campaign, had ties to a radical Muslim journal for 10 years on which her mother still serves as editor-in-chief, as the New York Post’s Paul Sperry wrote Sunday morning. 

Abedin, Clinton’s campaign current vice chair and embroiled in the Clinton email scandal,  is a "devout, Saudi-raised Muslim" and has worked for the Journal of Muslim Minority Affairs for 10 years through 2008, the paper reported. During the time Abedin was an editor, the journal published stories opposing women’s rights and blamed U.S. policy for the Sept. 11 attacks, as Sperry chronicled.

Sperry reported "the campaign is not talking, despite repeated requests for interviews."

"The contradictions are hard to reconcile," Sperry wrote. "Until now, these articles which Abedin helped edit and publish have remained under wraps. Perhaps Clinton was unaware she and her mother took such opposing views. But that’s hard to believe."

Clinton aims to be the first female president of the United States in her campaign against Republican Donald Trump.

"If fighting for women’s rights is one of Clinton’s greatest achievements, why has she retained as her closest adviser a woman who gave voice to harsh Islamist critiques of her [women’s rights] platform?" Sperry asked.
