The entertainment industry has another “dirty little secret,” celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay alleges: The restaurant business is hooked on coke, operators and clientele alike, around the world.

What Ramsay calls a cocaine epidemic in the hospitality sector is the focus of his new ITV documentary "Gordon Ramsay on Cocaine," in which he investigates the drug industry and its ties to the restaurant biz’s “dirty little secret.”

The Guardian reported that Ramsay claimed to have found traces of cocaine in 30 out of 31 of his restaurants around the world which, Ramsay's restaurant website reveals, reach for the Michelin stars.

He said coke's in the kitchens, in the dining rooms and, especially, in the restrooms, per the show airing on the British network, according to Deadline, and which soon may be headed to the United States, per the New York Post's PageSix.

As AOL’s Lifestyle section explained, the series sees Ramsay travel to Colombia for a closer look at the drug-making process before meeting up with the drug smugglers who distribute the coke.

Ramsay said diners have gone as far as requesting a sprinkling of cocaine over their soufflé. He said it occurred at a charity dinner.

“When dessert arrived the couple came to me and said, ‘look, everyone on the table is happy you’re here, but can you make a soufflé like never before and combine icing sugar with coke and dust it?’” he said, per The Guardian.

“I laughed it off but there was no way I was going to go anywhere near that. I dusted the sugar on top of the soufflé and caramelized it purposely so they had no idea whether it was on or off. I set the soufflé down. Didn’t even say goodbye. I just left out the back door.”
