The German government has created a website dedicated to teaching the influx of Middle Eastern immigrants about sex — literally and figuratively, reports say.
Germany’s Federal Center for Health Education's $136,000 site uses graphic diagrams and images to outline everything from first-time sex to how to perform far more advanced sexual acts — and even how to behave respectfully with gays and lesbians,
the Washington Post reports.
According to UPI, the section deals explicitly with young people trying to lose their virginity, suggesting: "Make sure that no one can disturb you," and describing the various sensations and emotions people have when losing their virginity.
The re-education comes in the wake of a rash of sexual assaults, some allegedly committed by asylum-seekers, that were reported across Germany on New Year's Eve. Public pools in Munich have even posted cartoon signs warning men not to grope women in swimsuits, UPI reports.
Besides the mechanics of lovemaking, the site also offers warnings on how to avoid sexually transmitted diseases and information for family planning. There are also explanations on the need to respect gays and lesbians.
The lessons can be blunt, the Post notes, with sexual intercourse fully illustrated along with suggestions on movement, positions and ways to perform oral and anal sex, and masturbation.
It has raised a few eyebrows, the Post reports.
"What is being done with our money," freelance artist Michael Bramer wonders in a
tweet translated by the Post.
Nuri Köseli, a spokesman for Islamic Relief Germany, questions its necessity.
"Although this is a human need of course, people have bigger problems," he tells the Post. "most of them are staying in emergency shelters for a long time without any access to private spaces. To confront them with such an issue in that situation might even be counter-productive."
