Ed Klein: Clinton Campaign Ready to Unleash 'Dirt' on Joe Biden

The Hillary Clinton campaign is ready to unleash "dirt" on Vice President Joe Biden if he enters the race for the Democratic presidential nomination, journalist and author Ed Klein said in a radio interview to be aired on Sunday.

"David Brock … has been collecting dirt on Joe Biden, which they’re ready to release if Biden gets into the race," he said of the longtime Clinton ally on "The Cats Roundtable" radio show in New York.

Klein was interviewed by Republican billionaire John Catsimatidis.

"You can be sure the Clintons are not going to stand idly by and let Biden have a free ride," said Klein, whose new book is "Unlikeable: The Problem with Hillary."

He added that President Barack Obama would endorse Biden over Clinton, but not without a price.

"What he's asked for is a … final say in Biden’s choice [for vice president]," Klein said. "It is my understanding that Barack Obama would like to see Deval Patrick, the former governor of Massachusetts and an African American, run on the Biden ticket.

"Deval Patrick is at least as left-wing as Barack Obama."
