It looks like the Republican convention will make superstar actor Clint Eastwood’s day. He’s headed to the confab or soon will be, a “well-placed Republican source” told
Townhall.com.
The Oscar winner is no stranger to politics, having served as mayor of Carmel-by-the-Sea, Calif., from 1986-88. The source said Eastwood will arrive in Tampa late Wednesday or early Thursday and will return to his southern California home Friday.
Speculation has grown that Eastwood will serve as the convention’s "mystery speaker" Thursday night. He endorsed Romney earlier this month and supported John McCain's presidential candidacy four years ago.
