A video posted to the Internet Monday evening shows what appears to be a protester from Black Lives Matter spitting on a woman wearing a Donald Trump shirt outside of a rally in Albany, N.Y.
The video, which contains offensive language, begins with two women — one white, one black — arguing. The black woman then spits in the other one's face.
The website InfoWars
identifies the woman as a Black Lives Matter protester.
The woman wearing the Trump shirt then pulled out her cell phone and tried to take a photo of her attacker, but several hands shot up to block the photo. The woman who spit disappeared through the crowd.
An argument between the white woman and another black woman ensued.
"You're not supposed to be over here, the Black Lives Matter protester yelled. "There's no need for you to be over here!"
"This is a free country!" shouted the Trump supporter.
"I know this is a free country but there's no point in you bringing your hate. We don't want hate over here. We are peaceful people."
Protest groups are typically separated from each other at events.
Another report from the Albany rally showed a Trump supporter shoving a man in the face from inside the arena. The Albany Times Union reports
there were more than 10,000 people in attendance.
Violence has erupted at several Trump rallies, with supporters clashing with protesters inside and outside of venues. A recent poll
showed Americans blame all parties for the violence, including Trump himself.
