Rep. Louie Gohmert: Clinton's 'Brain in a Blender' on Iran, Emails

The Obama administration's decision to send Iran $400 million in pallets of cash at the same time four hostages were being released has enabled that country to continue with its support of terrorism, and makes those involved in the decision "guilty of murder," Rep. Louie Gohmert said Thursday, while making a connection between the Middle Eastern powerhouse and the 9/11 attacks.

"From what I understand, they were helping to assist the terrorists into going in and out of Afghanistan, assisting the Taliban or helping in the various ways with the training [for 9/11]", the Texas Republican told Fox News' "Fox & Friends" program.

And as the State Department has acknowledged for some time that Iran was the largest nation state sponsor of terrorism, Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton must know the dangers, Gohmert continued, even though he's sure she doesn't remember the determination because "her brain was still in a blender."

The cash that was sent will be used toward Iran's military and to "support terrorism," Gohmert asserted, and "it will be killing Americans and killing Christians and killing Jews."

"If you provide somebody the money to buy weapons, and you know they've made clear they're going to use them to kill innocent people, then you are as guilty of murder as the people that commit the murder," said Gohmert. "We know what they're going to do with this money. It is reprehensible."

The House has had more than one vote to "try to make sure that people can sue the Iranian government," said Gohmert on the issue, and he hopes the president won't stand in the way.

If Clinton is elected, she is "standing by to double down on it," one of the Fox show's hosts said.

"Unbelievable," Gohmert responded. "It's consistent with the Clinton administration back in the '90s. They made deals with North Korea, North Korea helping Iran. We're still stabbing Israel in the back. Some things just continue to be consistent."

He also criticized Clinton for her ongoing email scandal, including revelations made in a FBI report last week that she did not understand the letter "C" by parts of the documents meant they were confidential.

"The secretary of state is supposed to have the power and ability to look at information and say, 'This is serious, I'm classifying this,'" Gohmert said. "She's supposed to have that power.

"Apparently, she must rely on interns, somebody's brain who is not in a blender to look at things and say, 'Oh, secretary of state, that really should be classified, let us put something on there so even you can figure it out.' This is dangerous for this person to be running for president of the United States."
