The report issued yesterday before today’s House Intelligence Committee hearing on illegal government surveillance, which "reveals" that the National Security Agency (NSA) unmasked — at the request of Obama officials — about 2,000 names of American citizens in 2016, comes as no surprise.
In two successful lawsuits which I brought against President Barack Obama’s NSA and the other intelligence agencies in 2013, having resulted in preliminary injunctions (see www.freedomwatchusa.org), and which in principle are continuing to discovery and trial, I have pressed the presiding federal judge, the Honorable Richard J. Leon, to move the cases along at a faster speed given recent events concerning Trump "wiretapping," and related matters.
Leon, who is a fine judge, recently went on "senior status" and has regrettably now been moving all of his cases at a relatively slow pace, presumably as a result. However, the situation with illegal Orwellian Big Brother continued surveillance by the spy agencies cannot wait! Every day, not just President Donald Trump and his aides, but hundreds of millions of "innocent" Americans continue to be spied upon without probable cause. And, our spy masters, including the current Trump appointee as director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), Mike Pompeo, seem to not care and instead are "circling the wagons" in our nation’s capital — in an attempt to cover up the widespread violation of our constitutional rights.
One has to wonder if the so-called powers to be in Washington D.C., like Pompeo, and the congressmen and senators on the intelligence committees, who are supposed to oversee and take steps to prevent and remedy these gross abuses of privacy — commonly known as crimes — are themselves afraid that if they push too hard on the spy agencies that confidential stuff about their private and professional "peccadillos" will start to fly out of NSA and CIA files. Given the Sodom and Gomorrah proclivities of our elected officials, the House and Senate Intelligence Committee heads and members undoubtedly fear that they will be publically exposed as has been the case of persons in and around President Trump. Indeed, as just one example of their political Achilles Heels, the level of marital infidelity and other "closet secrets" on Capitol Hill have been historically rampant there.
Couple this with the lawyers in the Federal Programs Branch of the Department of Justice, who have a penchant for lying to courts of all persuasions — they were severely sanctioned for lying to the court by the Honorable Andrew Hanen of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas in the case that threw out President Obama’s executive order illegally granting amnesty to over million illegal aliens — and you have a government wide cover up of the crimes that continue to be committed by the intelligence agencies and their officials against our citizenry. These Justice Department lawyers in the Federal Programs Branch, whom I have locked horns with for many years going back to my days at Judicial Watch, have also lied to Judge Leon, claiming that no illegal and unconstitutional surveillance is continuing. They even denied it years ago when I first brought suit. Our new Attorney General, who regrettably is being "disserved" by these Obama/Clinton legal loyalists, will at some point, hopefully sooner rather than later, have to clean house at my former alma mater.
The report of continued widespread criminal activity at the intelligence agencies thus came as no surprise. I will be thus moving Judge Leon to hold the persons responsible, including DOJ lawyers in the Federal Programs Branch, in criminal contempt for their illegal actions that are subverting our republic and all that we hold dear.
