"Progressives" don't have a program for national renewal, but one for redistribution for past grievances; rewards for cronies. Their essentially socialist schemes have never worked. Their desire for open borders would strain our welfare, obliterating any vestiges of traditional American culture.

Instead of a federal Leviathan regulating every aspect of national life, increasing taxes, and redistributing resources to favored cronies and causes, Trump offered deregulation, lowered taxes, and increased economic and social freedom for all.

The left’s defeat on Kavanaugh might signal the beginning of the end of character assassination instead of policy advocacy as political means. Sep 4, 2018
The Kavanaugh confirmation hearings, the ending of the fabricated fantasy of Trumpian Russian collusion underlying the Mueller probe, and, most of all, the upcoming midterm elections should demonstrate what kind of a country we still are.

Aug 27, 2018
We suffer under the delusion that somehow, if we just find the right legislative solution, we can alter human nature and prevent corruption and evil. It can’t be done, This suggests the futility and insanity of thinking that we can make our campaigns pristine.
