Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Reince Priebus offers a blunt assessment of President Barack Obama’s presidency: “A fish rots at the head.”

During a speech to students at the University of Chicago on Wednesday, Priebus also said he’s working hard to return Obama to one of his previous jobs at the university, teaching constitutional law.
After campaigning on a platform of “hope and change” in 2008, Obama now is campaigning “on fear and division,” Priebus said during his speech at the university’s Harris School of Public Policy, as reported in the
Chicago Tribune.
Priebus, a former state legislator who also headed the Wisconsin Republican Party and was elected RNC chairman this year, urged defeat of Obama next year for failing to make good on his promises to fix the ailing economy.
When a student asked about efforts to attract Hispanics to the Republican Party while some GOP leaders are pushing tougher restrictions on illegal immigrants, Priebus replied that he believes the economy trumps other issues in the minds of all voters, regardless of ethnicity.
"Listen, a fish rots at the head," Priebus said. "There's someone in charge of this country that promised a whole heck of a lot four years ago, right? He did it in a bigger way and it didn't work out. Everything's worse. You can get into, you want to argue all of the details, but everything is worse."
