The Senate may vote as soon as this week on a bill repealing the new healthcare reform law, says veteran Republican Texas Sen. John Cornyn,
The Hill reports. There is almost no chance that a Democratically controlled Senate will pass repeal, even though a federal judge in Florida Monday ruled that the entire law is unconstitutional.

“Vote on HC repeal could come as early as this week in the Senate,” Cornyn writes on Twitter.
Republicans, led by Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, have promised to force a Senate vote on repeal. Sen. Jim DeMint, R-S.C., introduced a repeal bill similar to the one passed by the House earlier this month, and by Monday, all his GOP colleagues had signed on as co-sponsors.
But Democrats, led by Majority Leader Harry Reid, appear uninterested in allowing a vote. With 23 of them facing re-election in 2012, some in conservative or swing states, a vote against repeal could help curtail their Senate careers.
