GOP front-runner Donald Trump led a crowd of supporters in Orlando, Florida in a pledge to vote for him in that state's March 15 primary,
CNN reports.
"Let's do a pledge. Who likes me in this room?" Trump asks of the thousands at the University of Central Florida arena. "I've never done this before. Can I have a pledge? A swearing? Raise your right hand."
Those in the crowd raised their hands and repeated his words:
"I do solemnly swear that I, no matter how I feel, no matter what the conditions, if there are hurricanes or whatever, will vote on or before the 12th for Donald J. Trump for president."
As the crowd cheered, Trump reminded them they had sworn an oath.
"Now I know. Don't forget, you all raised your hands. You swore," he said. "Bad things happen if you don't live up to what you just did."
Though Trump held his right arm with elbow bent at a traditional 90-degree angle while administering the oath, some on Twitter noted that some in the crowd raised their arms straight toward Trump. That, they noted, looked a bit like the traditional Nazi Germany salute to Adolf Hitler.
