Florida Sen. Marco Rubio was the big winner in Tuesday's Republican debate, while his mentor former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush was the big loser, pollster John Zogby told Newsmax TV.

Rubio's win was "followed by a very strong Carly Fiorina, and a stronger than usual John Kasich," Zogby said during post-debate coverage.

"Not sure that there are game-changers tonight," he said. "It's almost irrelevant to talk about debate performances and Ben Carson and Donald Trump. They seem to be immune to debate performances."

Bush's poor showing could be too much baggage or "maybe the family has already had one too many presidents," Zogby said. "But whatever it was, he was just not able to break through."
