Feminist pioneer Gloria Steinem is raising eyebrows on Twitter, about an article she wrote in The Guardian, declaring
that young women support Democratic presidential contender Sen. Bernie Sanders "because they want attention from boys."
"She said what?" an incredulous National Review columnist Ron Fournier responded with a retweet of Steinem's scold.
Writer Aruna D'Souza slammed the shaming as well — including a slap at former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright who told women voters
at a rally for Hillary Cllnton that "there’s a special place in hell for women who don’t help each other."
Another Twitter poster sniped the Steinem crack was "completely invalidating our opinion as young women and giving credit to boys."
Clinton is lagging behind Sanders by some 17 percentage points in an average of polling in New Hampshire
ahead of the first-in-the-nation primary Tuesday.
