President Donald Trump on Saturday took to Twitter to address the reports about his potential issuance of pardons in the Russia investigation, saying there is no need for him to exercise that power.
Trump's tweet comes in the aftermath of a Washington Post story Thursday that reported Trump and his staff were exploring ways to thwart special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into possible collusion between Trump's team and Russia.
One of those avenues was the use of Trump's pardoning authority, the Post reported.
Trump then tweeted that Mueller ought to be looking in a different direction for actual crimes - old foe Hillary Clinton.
