The dress worn by Melania Trump during her Monday night speech at the Republican National Convention sold out a short time after her appearance.
According to
The Daily Mail, the off-white dress that featured a tucked waist and bell sleeves was made by Roksanda Ilinicic, a Serbian designer who now lives in London. It retails for $2,190, and Trump reportedly chose the dress herself for her speech at the opening night of the convention in Cleveland.
The style icon's decision to wear the piece led to its selling out on
net-a-porter.com after her speech.
The dress, according to
Women's Wear Daily, is sold under the Roksanda label and is touted as a wedding dress "for the modern bride."
The Trump campaign is reportedly trying to "recast [Melania] as the next Jackie O. She speaks four languages," an adviser told the
New York Post.
