MSNBC gave Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton a series of pithy pointers on how to win the first presidential debate — but the liberal cable news network's cheeky advice was quickly criticized on Twitter, The Hill reports.
In a graphic shown Monday morning, MSNBC advised Trump to:
- Stop lying;
- Show humility;
- Fill in the gaps in his policy proposals.
The network then advised Clinton:
- Sell her presidency (What she would do and how she would do it);
- Be the Clinton that shines in smaller crowds;
- Get those jokes off, adding levity.
Not soon after, tweets started pouring in from disgruntled viewers who didn't take kindly to MSNBC's "advice."
