Hillary Clinton may be suffering from pneumonia, but her husband, Bill Clinton, said in an interview airing Tuesday that he thinks she's healthier than her rival, Donald Trump.

"I think her lifestyle and her underlying indicators, blood pressure, the amount of exercise, the everything else means it's almost certain she's in better health than her opponent," the former president told "CBS This Morning" during an interview recorded for PBS and airing in part Tuesday.

"But we don't know, because he hasn't disclosed [his medical records]."

Trump said on Monday he had a full physical exam last week, and his campaign said he'll release those records later this week on an appearance on the "Dr. Oz Show" on Thursday.

Clinton told Charlie Rose that it would be "refreshing if there were just one thing in life" where Trump has disclosed more than his wife, "but I don't think there is, so far, not even one."

Rose commented that there are many who consider Hillary Clinton's illness and her recent coughing spells a campaign issue, but the former president dismissed that.

"They think everything's a campaign issue," Clinton told Rose, insisting the Democratic presidential nominee has been forthcoming about her health issues.

"She's already disclosed much more health information than he has," Clinton said. "I saw the interview with his doctor. I'm sure that you did, too."

Trump's physician, Harold Bornstein, last month told NBC News that he wrote his glowing report about Trump's health in less than five minutes.

Clinton also answered questions about his own health, after he switched to a vegan diet and lost weight, saying that he recently had a physical and "passed with flying colors."

"There's nothing I can do about the fact that I am now the oldest man in my family for three generations," he told Rose.

"My great-grandfather lived to be 76 and I have lots of medical advantages over him, the state of health care and treatments. So I feel great. Every day I feel great. I just get up and hit it."
