If you want to know what a country led by Joe Biden and a House and Senate controlled by Democrats would look like, look at what has been happening in cities and states they've controlled for years.

Democrats and major media were quick to condemn the president for standing in front of St John’s church across from the White House holding a bible.

Even the progressive-leaning Episcopal bishop of Washington, D.C., the Right Rev. Mariann Budde, couldn't resist taking a political swipe at the president: "Everything he has said and done is to inflame violence. We need moral leadership, and he’s done everything to divide us."

As far as I know, she nor the Democratic Mayor of the District of Columbia, Muriel Bowser, has condemned the arsonists who set fire to that same church and threw objects at, and injured, members the U.S. Secret Service.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif, and other Democrats have criticized the president for threatening to send troops if violence and anarchy continue.

Most have been silent on the burning, looting, and attacks on police.

Looters killed a black retired police captain, and four police officers were shot in St. Louis, Missouri. In Rochester, New York, a woman trying to protect her store was beaten with metal clubs and two-by-fours when trying to defend store from looters.

Again, mostly crickets.

Many of the mayors, governors, and pundits who had no problem being tough on barbers, salon and restaurant owners, and churches defying their lockdowns, turned into total wimps in confronting those "protesting" with bricks, Molotov cocktails, and attacks on police.

No social distancing for them.

They certainly are not standing up for the hundreds of minority and other business owners who have seen their life’s work and dreams destroyed!

George Floyd’s brother, Terrence, called for an end to violence.

Most Democratic leaders did not!

Schumer and Pelosi are not the only Democrats who turned a blind eye on the violence.

Where was former President Barack Obama?

Where were members of the so-called "Squad" — Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., and Ayanna Pressley. D-Mass.?

Their cities were torn apart by violence.

Where was the Congressional Black Caucus, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, the Rev. Jesse Jackson and the Rev. Al Sharpton — the latter two whose cities were taken over by anarchists?

Former Vice President Joe Biden told a black church audience in Delaware that he will take action against "institutional racism" during his first 100 days in office.

His weak comments on violence sounded more like an after-thought.

The question blacks should ask him is, where was he during his eight years as vice president? Where was the nation's first black president and his two black attorneys general? Where were all of those Democratic mayors and governors?

Joe Biden would have us believe that institutional racism, abuse of black men by some cops and racial division, didn’t exist until the Trump presidency.

Except for black mayors Keisha Lance Bottoms of Atlanta and Michael Hancock of Denver, most of the country’s black and white Democratic leadership, and their media partners, have been apologists for those who committed violence — including attacks on police. In essence, they tell America that it's not the looters' fault and that they are just frustrated after years of oppression, racism, and police brutality.

Nonsense.

They forget that frustration is not a permission slip to burn down your community and leave even more people jobless, especially during a pandemic.

These cities and police departments have one thing in common — they are controlled by liberal Democratic mayors who take black voters for granted.

They have sympathy for violent protesters but none for people like the 24-year-old black woman in Minneapolis who said, "We’re burning our own neighborhood. This is where we live, where we shop, and they destroyed it."

It's believed the French diplomat and historian Alexis De Tocqueville once said, "In a democracy, the people get the government they deserve."

Liberal Democrats have controlled the states and cities under attack for years.

Blacks have played a significant role in electing and keeping them in office.

And still, today, black males, regardless of political affiliation or position, too often bear the brunt of police racial profiling and misconduct in these and other cities.

Donald Trump has not been in charge of those city halls, police departments, or school systems for the past 30 years — Democrats, many of them black — have!
