Warren Buffett apparently threw a jab at Donald Trump while the billionaire chief executive officer of Berkshire Hathaway Inc. was touting America's economic prowess.

"Make America Great Again? America's great now," he said, referencing the GOP presidential hopeful's slogan.

"It's never been greater," Buffett said on Tuesday while speaking at Fortune's Most Powerful Women conference in Washington, D.C. "Our kids are going to live so much better than we do now," Buffett said.

Buffett's comment is almost the exact opposite of Trump's slogan: "Make America Great Again!" CNN Money pointed out. The phrase is splashed all over the billionaire businessman's website as well as the red hat he wears on the campaign trail. Trump even recently received a trademark for the "Make America Great Again" phrase.

He also noted the growth in U.S. GDP and that "the world is changing all the time for the better."

Buffett, who oversees more than 80 businesses as chief executive officer of Berkshire Hathaway Inc., said a rebound in the residential real estate market is helping sustain growth in the U.S. economy.

“Housing is picking up, our furniture stores are running at good gains,” as is the carpet business, Buffett said. “Brick has picked up somewhat, but it’s still slow,” he said, Bloomberg reported.

Buffett also offered his view of the presidential race, The Washington Post reported.

"We've always thought in terms of a two-party government," he said, speaking of the growing divide between establishment Republicans and the party's more far-right wing.

"We now really have a three-party government. There is a distinct party now within the Republican party.  ... That's not something we've come to grips with in this country," he said.

"You're witnessing a quiet revolution in terms of how America will be governed," adding that it's not something he'd want to be a part of. "It's a great spectator sport. I wouldn't want to be a participant."
