Denis Kleinfeld - Biography



Denis Kleinfeld is known as a strategic tax and wealth protection lawyer, widely published author and creative teacher.

He first graduated from the University of Illinois (B.S. Accountancy) and is Registered with the University as a Certified Public Accountant, and then from Loyola University of Chicago School of Law with his J.D. After working as an attorney with the IRS for four years, he entered private practice focusing on domestic and international private clients, closely held businesses, family offices, and investments. He primarily consults on national and global wealth protection matters, U.S. and international tax planning, investment structures for wealth creation, business and personal migration, and related legal controversies and tax compliance matters.

Denis is co-author of the standard two-volume treatise Practical International Tax Planning and has written for a long list of professional magazines with hundreds of articles published on a wide range of subjects from technical tax or legal issues to controversial social and political topics. He is well known for his conference presentations, speeches, and innovative personal observations. Among numerous other positions, he is on the Editorial Board of Estate Planning Magazine and is a Professor of Law at the Thomas Jefferson School of Law in the LLM Program of International Tax and Financial Services.
