Here is a look at several memorable statements that Warren has made in recent years.
1. Warren tells us that God is all-knowing, and in that knowing God bestows blessings upon us, and that is what inspires him and gives him hope. "What gives me the most hope every day is God's grace; knowing that his grace is going to give me the strength for whatever I face, knowing that nothing is a surprise to God."
2. Those seeking hope must realize that they need direction and purpose to find it, according to Warren, who puts the Creator first and central in life in order to find hope. He speaks about this in his book, "The Purpose Driven Life." "Without God, life has no purpose, and without purpose, life has no meaning. Without meaning, life has no significance or hope."

3. God never leaves us, even when we are at our lowest, so there should always be room for hope. Warren says, "If you have felt hopeless, hold on! Wonderful changes are going to happen in your life as you begin to live it on purpose."
4. Sometimes it takes hitting your low point to realize that faith in God is what will help you through it all and he will restore your hope, Warren was quoted in "The Butterfly Grace," by Rex G. Russell, "You never know God is all you need until God is all you have."
5. Hope is linked to purpose,
Warren told The Christian Post. "Being reminded about the incredible power of God's love, and living as he intended, is the most powerful motivation to change."
