By    |   Wednesday, 06 May 2015 04:13 AM EDT

Gun control is a hot-button topic in America today. Recently, a CNN radio spot attempted to probe into the vast differences between the beliefs of Christians on gun control. It was determined that, "Christians of every stripe … tend to agree with the Gospel's message of love and peace. However, they don't agree on what that Gospel message means."

Religious denominations around the country take various stances on gun control. Even individuals within specific denominations clash on the subject. However, certain Christian denominations tend to take a more conservative stance on the topic in general.
