My Changing Your Community Broadcast  radio co-host Emmanuel Boose and I recently co-hosted private screenings for a great inspirational movie in Tupelo and Atlanta. The powerful film "Little Boy" features 7-year-old Pepper Flynt Busbee. In the title role, Jakob Salvati inspires a whole community with his faith, love, and stick-to-itness.

Pepper has a special bond with his father, which serves him well since he is constantly being picked on by his peers because of his short stature. His world is turned upside down when his father is called to military service in World War II and must leave his family for the first time.

When his dad doesn't return home as scheduled, Pepper is devastated. With the help of the local pastor, Pepper’s childlike acceptance of God's promise allows him to believe that he can help bring his dad home from the war.

“Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you" (Matthew 17.20).

This inspiration leads Pepper on a journey to increase his faith and to believe he can will his father back home from the war. Holding on to a tiny mustard seed, Pepper begins to tackle fear, racial bigotry, ridicule, and other evil forces.

While not entirely Bible based, this fine movie earns our five stars for inspiration. "Little Boy" is a journey of faith, hope, and love. It will have you laughing one moment and misty-eyed the next. Most of all, the film teaches us that if you don’t have any hatred in your heart, your faith can make the impossible, possible.

"Then Jesus said to the disciples, “Have faith in God. I tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen. But you must really believe it will happen and have no doubt in your heart. I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours. But when you are praying, first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against, so that your Father in heaven will forgive your sins, too. ” (?Mark? ?11?:?22-25?).

The executive producers, Eduardo Verastegui, Roma Downey, and Mark Burnett, and Director Alejandro Monteverde bring to the screen a promised classic.

The film opens on Friday, April 24. Check your local theatres for showtimes and take your family and friends to see this movie. Also, don’t forget to make sure to share this blog with all your social media friends.
