CDC Confirming First Possible 'Community-Spread' Virus Case in US
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention headquarters in Atlanta. The CDC is reporting that it may have identified the first community-spread instance of the coronavirus here in the U.S., where efforts are afoot to try to keep the illness at bay.
"Community-spread" means there's no known source for the infection, as opposed to someone contracting the virus throughn foreign travel.
