As Israel mourns the one-year mark after the Oct. 7 terrorist attacks, VP Kamala Harris pivoted by fact checking a question on whether Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu is a "close ally," saying the "better question" is if America and the Israeli people are allies – a response that has been a long-standing concern among critics as a signal of appeasement for Iran amid the burgeoning war with Israel.
