Oct. 10 (Bloomberg) -- Ghana will receive 180 million euros ($228 million) in aid from the Netherlands to improve sanitation in the West African country, the Ghanaian Times reported.

The money will be used to improve access to potable water and sanitation services in urban areas and schools, the Accra- based newspaper said today, citing Julius Debrah, Ghana’s minister for local government and rural development.

Ghana and the Netherlands are jointly implementing a nine- year water, sanitation and hygiene program, the newspaper said.
