A group of Muslim terrorists has confessed to plotting a bloody attack — using bombs, guns, and knives — on a group of far-right activists.

The Daily Telegraph reports an "al-Qaida-inspired Birmingham gang’" of six Muslims admitted planning an assault on English Defense League during one of its rallies.

The plot — in which the jihadist group may have wanted to assassinate the league's leader Tommy Robinson — was set for last summer, but failed because they showed up too late.

The suspects — Jewel Uddin, Omar Khan, Mohammed Hasseen, Mohammed Saud, Zohaib Kamran Ahmed, and Anzal Hussain — admitted to intending to commit acts of terrorism, the Telegraph said.

The attack could have triggered a race war between far-right groups and Muslim fanatics, the newspaper added.

Copies of a letter, to have been handed during or after the attack, also insulted Queen Elizabeth as a "kuffir devil," according to the Telegraph.

It also said the initials of the English Defense League stood for "English Drunkards League" and said the group was being attacked to avenge blasphemy of Allah and the Prophet Muhammad.
