Child Tells 911 in Indiana: 'Daddy Stabbed Mommy'

BROWNSBURG, Ind. -- Authorities in Indiana are searching for a man whose young daughter told a 911 dispatcher, "Daddy stabbed Mommy," two days after she had a protection order against him extended.

The arrest warrant on a charge of murder was issued Monday for 41-year-old Joseph L. Warnock. He and 38-year-old Angela Warnock were divorcing and she had obtained a two-year extension of a protection order against him on Friday.

Brownsburg police Detective Sgt. Charles Morefield said Warnock forced his way into the home near Indianapolis late Sunday and stabbed his wife as she slept in bed. Their daughters, ages 8 and 12, hid in a closet.

When he left, they called 911. It wasn't immediately clear which girl spoke in the call.
