The half-brother of former President Bill Clinton was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated Sunday night after a concerned citizen alerted police to a car swerving erratically along the Pacific Coast Highway in California.

Roger Clinton, 59, was released on $15,000 bail on Monday following his 8 p.m. bust in Redondo Beach. He refused to submit to a blood-alcohol test, sources told TMZ.com, which first reported the story.

Redondo Beach Police Lt. Joe Hoffman told CNN that Clinton was given a field sobriety test after which he was taken into custody.

His arrest came just two days before Tuesday's California Democratic primary, in which his sister-in-law Hillary Clinton faces off Sen. Bernie Sanders.

Roger Clinton was also charged for driving while intoxicated in 2001, shortly after then-President Clinton had pardoned him for a 1985 drug conviction, CNN said.
