Vice President Mike Pence will be attending Super Bowl LI Sunday, a source familiar with his schedule told CBS News

It is not clear if Pence, the former governor of Indiana, has a favorite in the game between the New England Patriots and the Atlanta Falcons. The president, however, has noted his friendship with Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, coach Bill Belichick, and owner Robert Kraft, according to CNN

Pence will not be the first vice president to attend the game. When they were vice presidents, Al Gore, George H.W. Bush, and Spiro Agnew all attended Super Bowl games, CBS News reported.

Bush will be in attendance against this year: the former president is doing the coin toss at the beginning of the game, which takes place at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas, Bush's home state.

Bush also attended the 2005 Super Bowl. Before that game, he and fellow former President Bill Clinton raised money for tsunami victims, CBS reported.
