By    |   Monday, 11 Nov 2013 07:01 AM

Student government leaders at the University of California, Berkeley voted to discontinue the use of the word "illegal" in connection with "foreign nationals" who are "undocumented" in the United States, according to The College Fix, a conservative student site.

The student senators, by a vote of 18-0 with one abstention, resolved that using the "illegal immigrant" term "dehumanized" people.

The College Fix, citing university statistics, reports that some 900 students presently enrolled in the University of California system are in the country without legal permission.
