Since Election Day, protesting President Donald Trump in marches, demonstrations and online has dominated the news, but according to a new Rasmussen survey, only 11 percent of Democratic voters say the opposition has been a success, The Washington Times reported.

Calling the opposition to Trump a "strident new culture," The Times on Sunday described it as a strategy that often included "strong language, ramped-up drama and a new 'war room' mentality" which it said may be "losing its charm."

Even Washington Post columnist Kathleen Parker wrote on Friday, "Disliking Trump, even for all the right reasons, is exhausting and unsustainable. It's also boring."

The Rasmussen survey found "few Democrats are pleased with their own party's attempts to oppose Donald Trump in his first 100 days as president," while one-fourth of respondents said all opposition efforts were a failure.

A Morning Consult survey found the media, which has challenged Trump the candidate and Trump the president, fared badly as well.

"Roughly half (51 percent) of Americans said the national political media 'is out of touch with everyday Americans,' compared with 28 percent who said it 'understands the issues everyday Americans are facing,'" wrote survey analyst Cameron Easley.

That survey also reported Trump was perceived as more trustworthy, with 37 percent of respondents saying they trusted his administration to tell the truth, as opposed to trust in the media which polled at 29 percent. In addition, 52 percent responded they didn't trust the media to cover Trump fairly, The Times reported.
