Bryan Cranston is champing at the bit to play Donald Trump — so much so that the "Breaking Bad" star launched into a wild impression of presumptive GOP presidential nominee Tuesday on NBC's "Today" show.

Cranston told interviewer Carson Daly that Trump has all of the earmarks of the type of character actors love to portray.

"He's huge. He's this Shakespearean character, this serio-tragic-comedic character. Who wouldn't want to take a bite out of that?" Cranston said.

And it's obvious he's been working on his impression of the billionaire real-estate tycoon because he was not shy about fulfilling Daly's request for a taste of Trump.

"It's yuuuge!" Cranston began, riffing on the way Trump famously pronounces the word "huge."

"Let me tell you something. This I can tell you — it is yuuuge!"

Cranston then admitted he has a way to go before perfecting the distinctive Trump drawl.
"It's a caricature right now," he said.

Cranston, who plays Walter White on the AMC series "Breaking Bad," has experience in portraying politicians.

In 2014, he played President Lyndon Johnson in the Broadway hit "All the Way," which was made into an HBO movie earlier this year. He also appeared as a congressman on TV's "Capital News."
