Wojciech Braszczok, an undercover NYPD detective, was convicted for his role in a motorcycle gang chasing a family's SUV and then beating the father on a Manhattan street.

The 34-year-old cop, who usually wears something over his head to protect his identity, left the courtroom with his face exposed after hearing the guilty charge, according to the New York Post.

Braszczok has been declared off-duty and is expected to lose his badge following the felony conviction, a source told the newspaper.

A panel of nine Supreme Court judges found Braszczok and co-defendant Robert Sims, 36, guilty of second-degree assault, coercion, and riot, but both were acquitted of gang assault, the most serious count, the Daily Mail reported.

“The court will not explain its verdict except to say that the verdict was based on the law and the evidence and on nothing but the law and the evidence,” said Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Maxwell Wiley.

Alexian Lien, 33, of Tribeca, was driving on the West Side Highway with his wife Rosalyn Ng, 29, and their infant daughter in their blue Range Rover on Sept. 30, 2013. They were on a New Jersey shopping trip to celebrate their anniversary.

According to Lien’s testimony, he saw dozens of motorcyclists driving through red lights, performing stunts, and speeding,  When he tried to pass the bikers, they yelled obscenities and threats.

“I felt complete fear for my life, my wife, and my daughter,” said Lien on the witness stand, according to the Post.

He said a biker in front of him braked, forcing the SUV to stop. The vehicle was encircled by the bikers, one of them waving a knife.

Trying to escape, Lien said, he stepped on the gas and hit biker Edwin Mieses who was seriously injured.

According to Ng, the bikers pursued the SUV into a Manhattan neighborhood where it stopped. Some of the bikers broke the vehicle's windows, the Post reported, scattering glass on the baby.

Video evidence showed Brazczok kicking the SUV and smashing the rear window with his fist. He also watched as Lien was beaten, said the Post.

“Detective Braszczok has been vindicated,” according to his lawyer, John Arlia. “He wishes to move on with his life and he thanks everyone who has reserved judgment.”

Braszczok faces two to seven years in prison. His sentencing was scheduled for Aug. 5.

Eleven others involved in the chase and beating pleaded guilty and face sentences of probation to two years in prison.
