A White House fence jumper was arrested for a third time in less than a week, this time for scaling a fence at the Treasury Building early Sunday.

Secret Service said Marci Wahl, 38, of Everett, Washington, tripped the Treasury Building alarm about 2:15 a.m. Sunday, The Washington Post reported. Wahl was caught climbing the fence at the southeast corner of the building; adjacent to 15th Street Northwest, near the White House.

Wahl was charged with unlawful entry and contempt of court after her backpack was checked by authorities and found nothing explosive in it. CNN reported that she was in possession of a sleeping bag and other items at the time.

The Secret Service conducted a security sweep of the Treasury Building area before returning to normal operations, an official told CNN.

The woman fence jumper made headlines on March 21 when Secret Service found her dangling by her shoelaces on the White House fence after she tried to jump that fence about 10:45 p.m., NBC News reported. Wahl was released after she was charged on a misdemeanor count of unlawful entry in Washington, D.C. Superior Court, according to the network.

"The individual became entangled in security features affixed to the top of the fence, suspending them in the air on the inside of the fence," the official said of Wahl then, according to NBC News.

At that time, Wahl was scheduled for an April 27 status hearing date and ordered to stay away from the White House.

A Secret Service representative told CNN that Wahl was arrested for a second time at Lafayette Park directly across from the White House on Friday evening and charged with contempt of court for violating her stay away order.

CNN said Wahl pleaded not guilty Saturday morning and was released on her own recognizance again.

Earlier this month, Jonathan Tuan-Anh Tran, 26, of Milpitas, California, jumped the White House fence carrying two cans of Mace and a letter to President Donald Trump, NBC News noted. Tran was released and ordered to stay out of town pending his next court hearing, according to the network.

On March 18, authorities arrested Sean Patrick Keoughan, 29, of Roanoke, Virginia, near the White House after he drove to a checkpoint and said he had a bomb, NBC News said.
