Donald Trump heard from the USA Freedom Grown-Ups on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" on Thursday, a parody band that mocked the Republican presidential candidate's ongoing flap with the USA Freedom Kids.

The children's group became a singing sensation during a Trump rally earlier this year, noted Entertainment Weekly. Things went south after the performance, however, giving Colbert a ripe opportunity for parody.

Jeff Popick, the father of one of USA Freedom Kids, told The Washington Post last month that he planned on suing the Trump campaign for breaking promises it made the group. The preteen group performed a revamped version of "Over There" at a Trump rally in Pensacola, Florida in January. The performance in patriotic red, white, and blue outfits led to numerous other media appearances.

Popick told the Post that the Trump campaign had offered the group a table for them to presell their CD at the Pensacola event instead of Popick's original request for $2,500. When they arrived, however, there was no table, resulting in what Popick called "complete chaos."

Popick said that the campaign called again, asking for the group to perform in Iowa. But after traveling there, they were told at the last minute they would not participate in the rally, leaving Popick to cover all the expenses the group incurred, wrote the Post.

"This is not a billion-dollar lawsuit," Popick told the Post. "I'm doing this because I think they have to do the right thing. And if this means having to go through the court system to enforce them doing the right thing, then that's what I have to do."

Colbert's parody addressed some of those issues Thursday night in the humorous performance from the USA Freedom Grown-Ups.

"Don't be such a douche / Pay your I-O-Youche," the USA Freedom Grown-Ups sang, according to Entertainment Weekly. "That might be your real hair / But you're a fake billionaire / Pay people what they've earned / And release your tax returns. Jerk!"

Many on social media weighed in on the "Late Show" bit.
