Tom Cruise has banned questions about Scientology and his love life, but he’s more than willing to talk about his upcoming “Mission: Impossible” movie.

Quoting several sources, TheWrap said questions about religion and love are being nixed by Cruise’s PR people as the star promotes "Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation."

A Comedy Central spokesperson said Jon Stewart wasn’t told to avoid personal questions when Cruise appeared on “The Daily Show,” TheWrap reported, but even so, Stewart didn’t get any more personal than chatting about the fact that Cruise, 53, has all of his hair.

An insider source told TheWrap that Cruise has quieted down significantly about Scientology in the last 10 years or so.

But even though it may be hard for the media to keep questions about Cruise’s relationships to themselves, there’s plenty to talk about with the latest “Mission: Impossible” movie.

"What Rogue Nation does have are tension and momentum, from beginning to end — and those pretty much outweigh everything else,” wrote io9.com. “For two hours, McQuarrie and Cruise give you massive set piece after massive set piece, filled with jaw-dropping stunts and ‘wow’ moments.”

The movie opens this weekend and CNN Money said Cruise is set to make big bucks on the fifth installment in the popular franchise. With excellent ratings on Rotten Tomatoes, the movie is projected to have a $40 to $50 million opening.

Cruise has been a consistent box office draw, from "A Few Good Men" through "War of the Worlds" and the more recent "Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol."

Fans are anticipating the movie’s weekend release, although a few can’t help but joke online about the franchise.
