Sophia Vergara will have a new googly-eyed admirer this fall when the "Modern Family" star gets animated and plays Bart Simpson's school teacher on the long-running Fox series.

Vergara will voice the character of Mrs. Berrera on an episode of "The Simpsons" this upcoming season, and the schoolmarm will pay "special attention" to Bart, much to the young smart alec's pleasure, according to Entertainment Weekly.

The show's executive producer, Al Jean, told EW that Bart will have to compete for Mrs. Berrera's affections with Principal Skinner, though.

"We thought it'd be interesting if both Bart and Skinner have a crush on the same woman," said Jean. "She feels Skinner is a wounded soul that she wants to take care of. She is a vet like Skinner, and that's his attraction."

Jean added that the convenience of having "The Simpson" produced in the same studio as "Modern Family" makes it possible for Vergara to make a return for future episodes.

"We have a situation where Bart doesn't have a regular teacher, so she may or may not come back," said Jean

Marcia Wallace, the actress who voiced Bart's old teacher, Mrs. Krabappel, died in 2013.

Vergara has been in the news lately more than she probably wants because of her battle with ex-fiancé Nick Loeb over two frozen embryos the couple created when they were together, noted the Huffington Post. In May, a judge ruled that Loeb could file a revised lawsuit to get custody of the embryos.

Loeb originally sued Vergara in August 2014 trying to void a contract they both agreed to when the embryos were created using Loeb's sperm and Vergara's eggs in 2013.

The contract stated that both had to agree before the embryos could be brought to term, but Loeb sought to void the contract because it never addressed how to proceed if they broke up.

Vergara has been nominated for four Emmy Awards and four Golden Globes for playing Gloria Delgado-Pritchett in "Modern Family" on ABC.

She is engaged to "Magic Mike" star Joe Manganiello, she told Ryan Seacrest in May on his KIIS-FM radio program and they have scheduled a date to be married but haven't announced it publicly, said People magazine.

So, sorry Homer, she's taken. Besides, you're married.
