Slurpee 'Bring Your Own Cup Day' Is Saturday, So Chill Out

By    |   Friday, 10 Apr 2015 11:50 AM

Slurpee has announced that Saturday is "Bring Your Own Cup Day," meaning customers can snag a small bucketful of the flavored frozen carbonated concoction for just $1.49.

USA Today reported that the 7,700 7-Eleven stores in the U.S. are expected to participate, and will have assistants on hand to help you fill up a bowling trophy, fishbowl, tea kettle, or coconut.

Some restrictions do apply, however.

For instance, whatever vessel is brought in must be no larger than 10 inches in diameter, and has to be made of a non-porous, sanitary material. That means no shoes, safari helmets, Cracker Jack boxes, or the back of your flatbed pickup truck.

Previously, 7-11 has run the BYOC Day promotion in Canada, Australia, the Philippines, and Malaysia, and some of the social media posts from those events are quite inspirational.
