Arnold Schwarzenegger celebrated turning 70 while his 'bro' Sylvester Stallone, 71, cheered him on with a heartfelt speech at a special birthday bash over the weekend.

Stallone embarked upon a rigorous social media campaign in honor of his friend's birthday, sharing photos and videos documenting their friendship.

On Monday, the "Rambo" star shared a video clip of his speech to Schwarzenegger on Instagram.

"You don't quit, you don't quit, and you still don't quit. It's boundless energy," he said to Schwarzenegger at the actor's 70th birthday celebrations over the weekend.

"But, you've been a fantastic enemy and a better friend. That's all I can say bro. Congratulations."

Prior to that, Stallone shared a blast-from-the-past image showing the two actors sans shirts, when they were in their prime.

"Pre - HAPPY BIRTHDAY ARNOLD!!!!," he captioned it.

"As long as you live and beyond, you're always going to be the 'BIG MAN' Who set the bar so high that it will never be surpassed , an action hero legend!"

Stallone and Schwarzenegger have appeared side-by-side in various films over the years and, while they may epitomize a solid friendship, the two have not always been close.

"We hated each other in the '80s because we were both in the same business, we wanted to outdo each other," Schwarzenegger told The Economic Times.

"It was all out war. It was a competition of who has the most muscles, who kills the most people on screen, who kills in the most unique way, who makes more money at the box office."

The "Terminator" actor explained that the turning point came in the 90s, when he and Stallone managed to put their differences aside and become friends.

"Ever since then we have been friends."
