Ronda Rousey, once the biggest name in the mixed martial arts UFC, hasn't talked about fighting in seven months and is most likely retired, thinks cage-fighting honcho Dana White. It's no secret she wants to get married, and soon.

Rousey's success in the ring, winning her first 12 fights, and her popularity outside of it convinced White to promote the women fighters in 2013, White told ESPN on Monday. That came crashing down for Rousey with her 2015 upset loss to Holly Holm.

She lost her next fight in 2016, as well, when she was knocked out in the first round by Amanda Nunes.

"I think people realize she's probably going to retire," White told ESPN. "That's not because she had to, that's the way Ronda Rousey is built. Ronda Rousey is super competitive and doesn't like to lose. I know she's been criticized for that by a lot of people, but that's just who she is and the way she is.”

"And the way she is, is what made everybody get behind her. It's what blew up the women's divisions. Now she's going to move on to the next chapter of her life, get married and have kids, do that thing. It's not sad, it's the way she wanted it."

TMZ reported in April that UFC's Travis Browne had proposed to Rousey in New Zealand. The two had been dating since 2015. The couple did not set a date but Rousey told ESPN that she hoped it would be soon.

Before her loss to Holm, Rousey had appeared in three movies, "The Expendables 3" with Sylvester Stallone in 2014, "Furious 7," part of the Vin Diesel "Fast & Furious" franchise, in 2015, and "Entourage" in 2015.

She openly lobbied for the "Wonder Woman" role in 2014, calling out the star Gal Gadot in the process, Fox Sports said.

"They're making a Wonder Woman right now, aren't they? I should have been Wonder Woman," Rousey said, per Fox News. "That girl couldn't curl a two-pound weight. What's so wonderful about that? I don't understand."
