Robin Williams Estate in Tug-of-War Court Battle Between Kids, Widow

Robin Williams' estate is in a bitter tug-of-war between his three children and his widow, who are battling it out in San Francisco Superior Court.

TMZ reported that sources connected with Zak, Zelda, and Cody Williams, the comedian’s children from his two previous marriages, were barred from entering the Tiburon, California, home their father shared with Susan Williams, his third wife.

Nonetheless, Susan Williams (née Schneider) said in a December court filing that someone — likely the children — took items from the home without her permission just "days after Mr. Williams’ untimely death" on August 11, 2014.

The children countered in their own filing, saying that the late actor's will clearly stated that his awards, memorabilia related to his acting, and some other specific personal items were intended to go to them.

Susan, who married Williams in 2011, acknowledges that items like her late husband's suspenders from "Mork and Mindy" should go to the children, but wants to keep his wedding tuxedo and other items accumulated while they were together.

TMZ's sources said that the children are fine with this, but allege that Susan has gone too far in some cases, for example trying to exclude Robin's watch collection from the "jewelry" category of items that are supposed to go to the children.

"The Williams' children are heartbroken that Petitioner, Mr. Williams' wife of less than three years, has acted against his wishes by challenging the plans he so carefully made for his estate," attorneys for the children wrote in court papers, according to The Associated Press.

Susan is fighting especially hard to exclude the children from the items kept at the Tiburon home they shared, saying Robin only meant for the items at his other home in Napa, California, to go to the children.

"Any other interpretation would lead to Mrs. Williams' home being stripped while Mrs. Williams still lives there," wrote her attorneys.
