"Rob Ford The Musical" is looking for someone to play the lead of the infamous Toronto mayor in an upcoming comedy/musical tribute, the National Post reported.

The open casting call for the musical comedy will be held at Toronto’s Second City Training Center on Monday, and the good news is that actors don’t need to look like the crack-using mayor to get a shot at the part, the National Post said.

Producers of the first musical tribute to Ford said it’s a "color blind casting" and performers will do a one-minute comedic performance and also sing one song, the Post said.

“This September, ‘Rob Ford the Musical: Birth of A Ford Nation’ will take to the stage as
an unabashed, take-no-prisoners comedy,” a press release about the casting call said on the show’s website. “In true Canadian form, it tackles the issue head on, through irreverence and fearless self-deprecation.”

The release promised to “lampoon everyone and anyone who has been involved with the mayoral chaos,” making sure those interested in the show know that no one is off limits in the musical comedy written by Brett McCaig.

The show will open Sept. 16 at the Historic Factory Theatre in Toronto.

The idea of a musical based on Ford’s rise to power in Toronto got a lot of attention online.
