Ravens Cheerleader Injured in Fall Leaves Hospital Under Own Power

A Baltimore Ravens cheerleader injured in a fall during Sunday’s game against Tennessee has been released from the hospital.

The cheerleader, whose name wasn’t released, was carried off the field and reported to have back, neck and head injuries. But she left the hospital under her own power, a team spokesperson said.

Twitter users referred to the fall as “nasty” and “scary.”

CBS Sports said a photographer near the cheerleaders said she appeared to be crying and hyperventilating after the fall. The Getty photographer who shot a picture of her texted CBS that “it was bad.”

CBS said tweets from people at the game indicated the woman was thrown into the air and fell on her head and neck.

The unidentified woman isn’t the only Ravens cheerleader to make the news recently. Forty-seven-year-old Molly Shattuck, a former Ravens cheerleader, was indicted last week on two counts of third-degree rape, four counts of unlawful sexual contact and three counts of providing alcohol to minors.

She allegedly had a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old boy.

Court documents indicate Shattuck may have met the boy through contact on her son’s Instagram account. People magazine said it was unclear whether the message sent to the boy was sent by Shattuck or her son. It said, “You should text my mom, she is obsessed with you."

Shattuck was known as the oldest cheerleader in NFL history when she made the Ravens squad in 2005 at age 38.
