After a decisive 31-1 vote by NFL owners at Monday's league meeting in Phoenix, Arizona, "The Autumn Wind" has shifted eastward as the Oakland Raiders’ application to relocate to Las Vegas was approved.

For the team’s passionate and expansive fan base, often called Raider Nation, this decision has exposed its fault lines and created a rift in its emotions and loyalties.

A sometimes less than civil war has broken out within the Raider Nation, with battle lines drawn in tweet after tweet.

The team’s franchise quarterback, Derek Carr, who grew up a Raider fan long before he was eventually drafted by the team in 2014, released a statement on Twitter to huddle up the Oakland fans.
