The Silver Bullet roller coaster at Oklahoma’s Frontier City amusement park became stuck Thursday morning and fire crews had to rescue some of the riders.

Emergency personnel were called around 11:30 a.m. Thursday when the roller coaster cars became stuck on a peak of the track. Because of the position of the cars, park personnel could evacuate the passengers in the back cars, but the front cars had to be evacuated by fire crews, KFOR reported.

According to NBC4, experts in knot-tying, heights, and tough angles assisted the riders who were helped to a catwalk from which they could climb down from the roller coaster.

No one was injured in the incident and all riders were evacuated by 1:15 p.m.

"Guest safety is Frontier City’s top priority," Frontier City said in a statement, KFOR reported. "As soon as each guest has been evacuated from the Silver Bullet, a thorough investigation into the reason the ride stalled will take place."

The incident was the second time in 11 months this particular coaster has gotten stuck. In June 2016, a momentary power drop caused a sensor fault that made the ride stop 100 feet above the ground.

According to LiveScience, as of 2013 there were approximately 20 amusement ride injuries a day in the United States, with many of them from coin-operated rides at malls and restaurants. The vast majority were not serious.
