A 23-year-old Russian model who dangled from atop a Dubai skyscraper for a photo shoot risked life and limb and police aren't happy about it.

Viki Odintcova posted the pictures to her social media accounts, particularly Instagram, in January and early February after successfully completing the photo shoot, which showed her leaning back from a ledge holding onto a male assistant’s hand and then dangling off the side of the skyscraper with only the assistant’s hand to hold onto.

The photos and videos showed no safety equipment of any kind, making the shoot from the top of the more than 1,000-foot-high Dubai skyscraper a deadly risk for Odintcova.

The Cayan Tower, which twists 90 degrees from base to top, was the tallest building of its kind in the world when it was built in 2013, but has since been surpassed by the Shanghai Tower.

The model's photos and videos garnered hundreds of thousands of views on Instagram, but they also drew the attention of police, who took Odintcova into custody and required her to sign a pledge that she would not do anything like that again, USA Today reported.

The Cayan Group, the developer of the building, said it plans legal action against the model and condemned her actions.

Odintcova said she doesn’t plan to do any stunts like it again, but thought her team should be rewarded for exposing the security weaknesses of the Dubai skyscraper.

“We were at the rooftop of that building without any evil intentions, however someone else could have come out there to commit suicide or an act of terrorism,” she said, USA Today reported.
