Melania Trump's exuberant greeting by Polish First Lady Agata Kornhauser-Duda left President Donald Trump shakeless for a few seconds, but the two finally connected -- dashing news media hopes laying wait for a G-20 gaffe story. There's a video to prove it.

The U.S. president and first lady were attending a ceremony on Thursday with Polish President Andrzej Duda and his wife.

A video, filmed during the official greetings on stage, shows both families walk onto stage. The two leaders shake hands but, as Donald Trump extends his hand to the excited Polish first lady, she walks right past him and directly to Melania.

Kornhauser-Duda did eventually return to Donald Trump to shake his hand, noted Newsweek. However, it was not long before the snubbing went viral on social media, inspiring countless memes.

True, Trump has been be racking up awkward handshake moments, but only the resistance media could blame him this time.

Trump caused a stir after he failed to shake German Chancellor Angela Merkel's hand during her visit to the White House in March.During an Oval Office photo-op, he didn't respond to media requests to shake Merkel's hand, reported CNN.

The incident followed an onslaught of criticism which Trump had for Merkel, including statements that she had ruined Germany.

The pair finally put their differences aside and participated in the highly anticipated handshake months later, at the G20 Summit in Hamburg this week.

There was also the prolonged handshake between Trump and French President Emmanuel Macron during May's G7 summit in Sicily, which was interpreted as domineering.

Macron later told press he felt there was a hidden agenda to the handshake.

"My handshake with [President Trump] was not innocent, not the alpha and the omega of a policy, but a moment of truth," Macron told the Journal du Dimanche. "We must show that we will not make small concessions, even symbolic ones."
