The Tampa Bay Rays’ Matt Joyce made a once-in-a-lifetime hit into a pitching machine while he was practicing this week and the video is going viral.

During batting practice before his team went up against the Houston Astros, Joyce hit a ball and it smacked into the top of the cage and sailed right back into the pitching machine, which promptly spit it back out at him.

And it was a strike.

“Obviously Joyce wasn't expecting that to happen, so he wasn't ready for the pitch. It would've been even more impressive had he hit the same ball twice in a matter of seconds,” the Bleacher Report wrote.

The video of Joyce’s hit back into the pitching machine was going viral online as people speculated about how unlikely it was for that to happen.
